Gleaming beneath the Qatari sun, the Gold Line Metro carves a modern path through Doha’s vibrant core. Opened in 2019, this east-west artery stretches 32 kilometres, whisking passengers between iconic landmarks like the Qatar National Museum and Souq Waqif. With eleven stations connecting to feeder buses and other Doha Metro lines, the Gold Line seamlessly integrates into the city’s fabric, beckoning exploration with its air-conditioned comfort and efficient speed.

  • Total length: 14 km (8.7 miles)
  • Connects Al Aziziya and Ras Bu Abboud

Current status:

  • The operational section runs from Msheireb to Al Aziziyah
  • The eastern section from Msheireb to Ras Bu Abboud is under construction
